Gülçin Aksoy

Chorus of Choristers present penciled portraits of carpets given as diplomatic gifts to Statesmen on the occasion of their official State visits to Turkey. Traditionally a photo portrait of the respective guest is woven into a carpet. In a humorous material twist, the artist turns this traditional political tapestry into individual drawings, portraits of carpets.
