Solo & Friends

Only one single work will be exhibited –  accompanied, however, by the entire ensemble of MKM artists.

Calling to mind the epistemic architectures of ancient Islamic manuscripts, Chaza Charafeddine miniatures Franz Kafka’s letter to his father in handwritten copies in German and Arabic, a letter that was never sent and that never reached its addressee. The artist works with the visual elements of the ancient page, and explores the relationship between writing, translation & original, private communication & love.

Chaza Charafeddine, born in Tyros, is an internationally exhibited writer and artist who lives and works in Beirut.
