MKM Gallery shows a stunning piece from Ali Kaaf’s Byzantine Corner series. The series is modeled after architectural details of the Hagia Sophia in Istanbul.

Ali Kaaf intensly evolkes what is missing. With precision he marks and obscures his objects with holes, cuts, and overlays.

Ali Kaaf, born 1977 in Oran, Algeria, to Syrian parents, lives and work in Berlin.
