BENYAMIN REICH (*1976 in Bnei Brak) studied at the École des Beaux-Arts in Paris und the Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem. Reich’s intimate and effeminized portraits of rabbinic scholars and other figures show a public attire that has long withdrawn from Jewish tradition.
Benyamin Reich’s work has been shown in various solo- and group exhibitions in Europe, such as by Axel Schlesinger Zürich (2023), Photo Basel (2022), Podbielski Contemporary Mailand (2022), Alexander Ochs Private (2020), Cokkie Snoei Rotterdam (2019), Kunstraum Kreuzberg/Bethanien Berlin (2015), Jüdisches Museum Berlin (2012), and others.
The artist lives an works in Berlin.
